Summary
StayFocus does not sell personal data, run advertising, or send browsing statistics to the developer. Settings and usage summaries are stored locally in Chrome storage. A license service validates paid access separately.
Information the extension processes
StayFocus processes the address and state of browser tabs when needed to apply your website rules, organize tabs by domain, manage tab reminders, group bookmarks, and calculate private website activity summaries.
For licensing, the activation key is sent once. The server then receives a random browser identifier, revocable activation token, extension version, and normal connection metadata to verify access, enforce the two-browser limit, apply expiry or revocation, prevent abuse, and provide support.
How information is used
- Match domains and URLs against block, redirect, and close rules.
- Group tabs and bookmarks by domain and show their favicons.
- Move, reorder, open, or close tabs only after an action you request.
- Create local reminders and Chrome notifications.
- Calculate on-device active-tab and background-open time.
Storage and sharing
Rules, preferences, reminders, and activity summaries remain in Chrome storage on your device. Only the license data described above is sent to the StayFocus license server. Browsing history, tabs, bookmarks, rules, and statistics are never included.
Control and deletion
You can disable protection, delete individual rules, remove all rules, clear local activity statistics, deactivate a browser slot, or uninstall the extension. For privacy or license support, contact [email protected].
Permissions
StayFocus requests only the Chrome permissions needed for its visible features. Permissions are used to evaluate website rules, organize browser tabs and bookmarks, schedule reminders, show notifications, and store your choices locally.
